The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has invited applications for recruitment in 164 posts. Candidates interested in applying for the post of professor, assistant professor, associate professor, and HOD can apply online at bpsc.bih.nic.in.
The registration process will begin from 1 September and the window will remain open till 18 September. The last date to pay the application fee is 23 September, while the last date to apply online is 30 September. According to the notifications and advertisements published on the official site of BPSC, the last date of receiving a hard copy of the application form is 7 October.
According to India Today, there are eight vacancies for the post of professor in Mathematics in Government Engineering Colleges under Science and Technology Department; 147 vacancies for assistant professor post (Electronics and Communication Engineering), seven vacancies for the post of associate professor of Chemistry in Government Engineering Colleges under Science and Technology Department; and two vacancies for HOD (Textile Engineering in Government Polytechnic/ Government Women Polytechnic Institutes under Science and Technology Department).
Educational Qualification
Those interested in applying for the post of professor (Mathematics) must have certain educational qualifications. As per a report by Hindustan Times, candidates must have a PhD degree in Mathematics and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Masters’ level in Mathematics.
For assistant professor (Electronics & Communication Engineering), BE/ BTech/ BS/ BSc (Engg.) and ME/ MTech/ MS or integrated MTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees is a must.
In the case of associate professor (Chemistry), a PhD degree in Chemistry and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the subject is required to apply.
Lastly, for the post of HOD, PhD in Textile Engineering/ Technology and First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Textile Engineering technology will be required.
